Jet-Setter of the Month

This month meet Ashley, a Jet-Setter living in D.C.

Tell us about how you ended up in D.C. and how long you've been there.

I had a job opportunity within the DMV area and decided to purse a city that would offer a well balance work and social life for young professionals.

What are your favorite D.C. hotspots?

Restaurants

Alero's on U Street (Mexican Cuisine) - Alero's is a local D.C. Meixcan restaurant located on U Street. It provides great food and entertainment for all ethnic groups and ages.

Ben's Next Door - Ben's Next Door is a local restaurant and bar which is also located on U Street. It has a nice atmosphere for dining with friends and meeting local singles. Ben's Next Door offers a variety of foods with big flavors, that ranges in their brunch to dinner selections.
Next door to Ben's Next Door, is Ben's Chili's Bowl, where one can savor up for the best chili hot dogs in the nation's capital.

Georgetown Cupcakes - Georgetown Cupcakes are made with the finest ingredients, some of which are imported from around the world. These designer cupcakes are raved about in the media and on TLC's network.

**Jet-Setter Tip: Order cupcakes 24 hours in advance to avoid the long line of tourists and locals. http://www.georgetowncupcake.com/

Other Good Eats: Clyde's (American), La Vapiano (Italian), Matchbox (American), Red Velvet Cupcakes

Nightlife/Bars

Hey ladies, just found ya via FTLOB, and you all seem quite awesome! I'm a lady traveler myself, and I look forward to reading about your adventures :)

Oh and to answer your pizza question: We win over here in Chicago. Hands down. Eating Chicago pizza is like hearing the Beatles for the first time!

Hi girls! I'm you newest follower.
Thanks for visiting my blog. :)
Love to travel, too. But, due to my pregnancy, it probably will be a long time until I can hit the road again. In the meantime I will live vicariously through you. :)

DC is one of my fav city's; this makes me want to post my pics and blog about my DC experience! My fav place was the Gaylord hotel; I went to a brand new sports bar lounge...It was so large and spacious...Just a nice change from Miami...
