Travel Essentials

All Jet-Setters know the importance of knowing how to pack and not over-packing. When getting ready for a fab trip with the girls where we know there will be lots of going out and looking good, you have to bring the right essentials without bringing the entire bathroom sink. One of the essentials that the Jet-Setters bring on just about every action packed trip is the Coastal Scents 88 Color Eyeshadow Palette.

If you change your mind as quick as I do, this eyeshadow palette comes with just about every color imaginable and will have any Diva prepared for whatever event the night brings. Whether you decide to go with a classic neutral eye of try something more glam for the night, this palette will have you covered. Another great thing about this palette is that is small and thin enough to not take up too much room in your suitcase. And the greatest thing about this palette is that it's just $20 bucks!

Check out CoastalScents.com to learn more about palette.

Have any of you Jet-Setters tried this palette or have any travel essentials that you would like to share with others? We'd love to hear from you!

ATL Shawty!

Every October the divas and I head to the wonderful city of Atlanta, Georgia for the Bank of America Atlanta Football Classic. While we're not cheering on the FAMU Rattlers, we check out all that ATL has to offer.

Where to Stay
The last time we went we stayed at the InterContinental in Buckhead. Nice hotel that is downtown and within easy access to many of Atlanta's hotspots. Any hotel within the Buckhead area is a great idea for your stay in Atlanta.

(The view from our room)

Where to Go
Our first place always on our list is Gladys Knight's Chicken and Waffles located in downtown Atlanta. The Divas and I look forward to our favorite meal, which is also the restaurants signature dish, the Midnight Train, (chicken and waffles) along with an Uptown (Sweet tea and Lemonade).

(Midnight Train)

When coming to Atlanta, you have to check out the shopping. There is an abundance of malls, outlets and neighborhoods to stop in to. Our favorite is Lenox Square Mall.

What to See
For those looking to experience a little bit of Atlanta's history, stroll over to the house of Martin Luther King, Jr. You can experience the birth place of one of our nation's most influential leaders.

Check out Underground Atlanta to snatch up great deals on souvenirs.
DO Check out:
1.The Coca-Cola Factory
2.The Georgia Aquarium
3. Centinnial Park
4. Six Flags over Georgia
Have any of you Jet-Setters been to Atlanta, share with us some of your favorite ATL hotspots and what you think about the city!

Jet-Setter Highlights: Flip Burger

We'll be starting up a new segment where we highlight special places we've been.

I was recently in Birmingham, Alabama and had the chance to experience a great restaurant called Flip Burger Boutique. They have gourmet burgers, if you're tired of the same ol' same ol' from the fast food joints, try out this place that puts a twist on your ordinary burger.

The decor was very unique too, which really gave the place and upscale atmosphere and let you know that you weren't eating at your local burger diner- perfect for a date or the beginning of a Girls Night Out.

However, since it was such a nice day we chose to sit outside where we had a beautiful view.

They have all kinds of gourmet burgers including shrimp, thai, and veggie, but I played it safe, with a beef hamburger. I also had the Nutella and Burnt Marshmallow Milkshake, which was delicious.

For more information on Flip Burger, check out their website: www.flipburgerboutique.com

***Please feel free to submit and share about any special places to have stopped in recently that other travelers may like to experience as well! It can be from your hometown or from a recent vacay, whether it be a restaurant, boutique, specific location, or event that you'd like to highlight.
